As ever, it was the veteran designer Maheen Khan who delivered the freshest, most dynamic show in Fashion Pakistan Week Winter/Festive 2018.

Raw silk dresses defined with architectural detail and feminine ghararas that harked back to the simpler bridal fashions of the sixties and seventies.

Dawn Images' fashion critic Maliha Rehman summarised it aptly: "Maheen Khan delivered nonchalant glamour effortlessly, marching to her own tune...this is what fashion week should be all about: delivering a fresh perspective, strengthening a signature, marrying experimentation with the visually appealing, leading up to the exclamation, ‘I want to wear this!’
