Do What A Girl Is Supposed To Do

They may call us the weaker sex. Label us as fragile, and put us away much like an ornament in the side of the room, but; when the going gets tough, women take on life from the lapels and get the situation sorted. Don’t we?

Here’s one thing you should never forget: You’re a female. A strong, majestic female. It’s alright if you’re shy or, at times, intimidating. As long as you don’t fear asking for what you want, you’re golden. There’s nothing quite as brilliant as a woman with confidence and ambition.

Here are a few ways you can embrace yourself as a woman and let go of all the insecurities and shackles that hold you back.

  1. Handle the spotlight with grace

Whether you want it or not, there will be times when the spotlight will come on you. Don’t shy away from it but make it your skin. Glow like your confidence demands the attention of all you come in contact with. If at work everyone looks to you for guidance on how to complete a project, step up to the challenge, make a small mental plan and flow with it. In social gatherings, if you have something to add to a discussion, just speak for you never know you may just be the one sharing the entertaining stories and making everyone laugh uncontrollably. You have it in you to steal the attention of one and all and to capture them with your energy, your poise, and your all-encompassing gift of social power. You just need to let that girl out.

  1. Find your purpose

Not everyone has it all figured out. Yes, there will be women around you who’ll have a very clear idea of what they want from life, but if you’re not one of them, don’t fret. We all are built differently. We think differently and we function differently. We all do things at our own time. Explore areas that interest you. See what gets you excited, dive deeper into that. Discover what your passion is, discover what makes you happy, what you really look forward to, and start exploring that. Take your time because once you find your purpose, you’ll find the masterful woman that you are.

  1. Find comfort in solitude

So you broke up with your boyfriend of 5 years? That is quite alright. You are not defined by romantic relationships. You know what you are capable of accomplishing with or without love in your life. In fact, sometimes you are way more productive when you are alone; so really the break up was a blessing in disguise. You now have time to read all the books that have been collecting dust under your bed, or catch up with old friends. In regards to the boy? Well, there will be another. In the meantime, just build yourself up. Sit with your thoughts and find what your opinions are. Often in relationships, we become what the other person wants us to be and lose sight of what we are. Let your solitude be a friend to you. Find solace in your own company. Become your own home-girl!

  1. Balance your center

Here’s the thing:  you have to figure out how to balance all aspects of your life: physical, mental and spiritual. And it takes a little work. There are a number of people, things and habits that are toxic to you. Yet, you hold on to them just out of fear that it won’t be comfortable without them. Let it go. If you know what’s toxic for you, you need to let it go. Because, once the room is clear for better things to come, they’ll come to you. Holding on to old rusty things won’t get you anywhere.

You need to embrace the importance of believing in something greater than yourself in order to truly be fulfilled. You need to understand that what you put in your body is exactly what you will get out. Therefore, take care of your body as if it was an ancient temple or one of the seven world wonders, which, if we are being honest, it truly is. Lastly, you don’t stop developing yourself intellectually, ever. It is your knowledge and wisdom of life that intrigues people but more importantly it is what drives you to face life with courage and boldness.

  1. Let the change become you

In all honesty, most people are terrified of change. It can be uncomfortable and confusing, we get it. But, to find happiness, the woman in you has to welcome it. Believe there is no growth without change and no change without sacrifice. Understand that this opportunity for self-development is worth far more than the fear of sacrificing the comfort of what you already know. This is truly where the beauty of the woman lies, in your ability to face life and embrace the possibilities for change.
