U.S. Customers — Import Duties & Customs Information
What Does This Mean for Your Order?
When you place an order with Studio by TCS, our prices include the cost of your items and, where applicable, free international shipping. However, import duties, customs fees, and local taxes are not included in our prices and may be charged separately upon arrival in the United States.
These charges are levied by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and are the responsibility of the recipient. Studio by TCS has no control over these charges and cannot predict the exact amount, as they depend on the type of goods, their declared value, and the tariff classification assigned by customs.
How Much Could the Duty Be?
For textile and clothing imports from Pakistan into the United States, the current effective tariff rate is approximately 29% (comprising a 10% base tariff and a 19% reciprocal tariff). The duty is typically calculated on the declared value of the goods.
Please note that tariff rates are set by the U.S. government and are subject to change. We recommend checking the latest rates at U.S. Customs and Border Protection if you require precise figures before placing your order.
How Will I Pay the Duty?
Import duties are typically collected by the courier (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) upon delivery, or you may receive a separate invoice from the courier or customs broker. You will need to pay these charges before your parcel is released to you.
Can I Refuse to Pay?
If import duties are not paid, the parcel may be held at customs or returned to us. Please be aware that refusing to pay applicable duties does not entitle you to a refund, as these charges are imposed by U.S. authorities and are outside our control.
